I love Cameo's and the lovely ladies that are hand carved into shell. My dream is to one day go to Italy and see them done..the old way, which is hand carved. Many modern day Cameo's are still made for shells, but machine made. My mother had a beautiful pin that can be converted to a pendent had carved that my brother bought her many years ago when he was there. However it was not purchased from the original artist. Still the same it is beautiful.

The Cameos in the photo are made of some type of resin molded. I bought these years ago on Ebay.

Thank you Sewinghuggs for so generously sharing your beautiful FSL designs for us all to enjoy. This charm stitched beautifully!! This is from the FSL Alphabet Jewelry set.

Thank you so much!!!I would love to see your Mom's Cameo. I'm happy you wear it, too. The old ones are very rare and pricey to purchase.
My mom still wears hers as a pin. It's so beautiful!

Thank you so much! The shell was given to me by my dear MIL. She went on a Cruise several years ago and brought this back for me. She actually saw the shells harvested and the hole drilled in the top of the shell to remove the critter inside. I believe it's conch and the place where she got it serves the conch at the restaurant. Nothing goes to waste.
