Just saw all the pictures on Tele - devastating Tsunami on the coast and it just engulfed everything in its sight. I do hope that people of that area have a safe Tsunami warning system in place and got out of there asap. I'm watching people as I write standing on the top of the Airport at Sendai. Tsunami has hit the Nandi Prefecture. A few airports have been closed.

I have wondered the same - if she is there in the middle of all this.

There have been rolling tsunami's hitting Japan and the highest (I heard) was 7.8 metres!
The footage being shown on CNN and other tv chanels are just devastating.

I sent Yoriko a text message but the news reports say the telephone system is overloaded and I'm not even sure if she has her phone with her or has it set to Global roaming.

All we can do is pray for her safety and that the loss of life in Japan will be minimal.
