I love patchwork but never manage to be precise enough! I started by making 4 of Mops' crazy patchwork pincushion tops (flipping the design for each one). Then I put them together with strips and squares. I couldn't decide what to do with the resulting square, so I made another one with 4 log cabin squares and put them together as a bag. I made it all up as I went along but quite like the result. (I'd fallen in love with the pack of blue fat quarters in the shop!)

I love the bag you made - blue happens to be my favourite colour as well.

Very nice, Sue! I, too, love blue - great job for "making it up as you went along." You have to watch those fat quarters, they have that effect on people! Or at least on me ;-D *4U

You are certainly an artist to make it up as you go. It turned out great!

Love these, colour & design. Sorry - can't find Mops' crazy patchwork pincushion tops pattern, would you mind helping me please. I looked on her website and through 30 pages of DBC. Many thanks.

I sent it her privately a long time ago and did not post it in DBC as I could not upload the tutorial on how to do it (that's a pdf file).

Thanks for your reply mops - hope you'll have another go at the tutorial sometime.
