the girls sew that they can just iron them on like a patch, when they get their dresses done. Sew now what do I do? Do I just trace out & iron on two side fusable? & that's it? Do I leave the tear away off or do I keep it for stability?

I'd tear off the tear-away, iron on the fusable stuff and leave the paper backing till the moment you need it.
