Good to know they like the wider ones. Getting ready to make a batch myself. Sounds like you need to get some of the ones off this site. My friend has done some of these in the larger hoop and they are fast and turn out very nice.

I don't know about all the new Moms' out there but that is what my DL likes. I had done some very similar to the ones on the link that you posted and she really didn't like them as well as she liked the ones I have done using the 3 ply prefolded Gerber diapers and the flannel leaving the diaper full size and not folding the sides back. She didn't like the design any bigger than what you get with a 4x4 hoop because she didn't want the baby's face on it and wanted more coverage down her back. My son had to put his 2 cents in also and he didn't like them when I put rick rack or other trim on them.. because in his words "boys don't do rick rack" LOL... I laughed so hard !!! So now I just try and give them what they want!!!
