With the extremely kind help of another Cutie, I have now managed to master the lettering part of this programme.

What I am trying to do now is add text to a design. I have done a lot of research and now discovered this programme, does not work with 'Pes' format. I have DL other formats and tried to import them into EFP, although they will open, it does so with a black background and all the function keys are not available.

I know I am doing something wrong, or maybe the files are not the correct type. Has this problem ever happened to anyone else and did they overcome it, if so how. Is there someone who could give me direction please.
