I have a large roll of plastic film I bought at Michaels for wrapping things like baskets etc...is that what people use when they need mylar? Or do you get something specific?

here is some info on mylar, alot of people buy it here. I don't think the wrap for gifts is the same. I know they make the party balloons out of mylar. Good luck. I hope you get a better answer

Although I have not used it, through all the message I've been reading it seems most of the embroiderers use the "foil" gift wrap which come is sheets. Most dollar stores sell these.

mylar have a colour
its special paper or plastic
look what they write on the roll
it can be wws thats what we use for lace or fsl
