Mine did that and the thread was jammed up in the bobbin case took it out and it was just packrd under there had to get all that out and it sewed great,
Laet night I was sewing ans my said bang and would not sew . the foot had got loose and broak the point of the needle off.

Hate it when something like this happens. I have been using the wrong needle as I didn't have any of the correct ones until today. Amazing what happens when you have the correct needles. Hope you machine works properly for you soon. Lyn

It sounds like this is a common problem with our Brothers. I have a 750D and I have had this happen several times. I had to slow it down in speed and watch the thicknesses of the fabric. This last time it bend the shaft on my machine and it was in the shop for a while. Also keep an eye on the foot. It can become loose and cause the same problem. Now I never walk away from it. if I could I would send you a bouquet of flowers--I know your pain right now.

I've had this happen but usually there is a 'nest' just under the hole in the needle plate that prevents the wheel from going up and down. I can always tells since the fly wheel jams neither up or down and usually the needle is stuck down in the fabric. If this is the case, slide your scissors under the fabric etc and snip away all threads, then you should be able to move everything out of your way and then check for the 'nest' Hope this is all that's wrong, if it's not this it sounds like the repair shop......

I had this happen right in the middle of doing a burp cloth on the thick diapers. Had to take my machine because at the time I didn't know as much as I know now from this site. But shop had a bad tech man there and it took up till a month to get my machine back. Now I watch my machine and I don't use thick diapers anymore. I think it was more the design. It was a Tractor and it was close in stitches.

Hi my old Pe180d used to do that..I just turned the machine on its side and left it alone ...in time it unlocked

Be sure to take your bobbin case out and look it over to make sure there are no nicks in it then make sure its back in place properly. Sounds like what others here are saying...thread balling up in the bobbin case ares. Hope you get it working again and no trips have to be made to the repair man. *4U

Do not force the wheel to turn.
Carefully Try these : take the needle out,Then take the bobbin out, now undo the the face plate and remove it.Now the bobbin holder if it will.
You might find your tangle of threads during all this.
When you begin a design ,at the change of colour or bobbin,Always check how your machine begins the first few stitches and stop the machine if you see something wrong, (the machine always begins slowly).I never leave the machine running if I need to leave it I press the stop button.

So sorry to hear of your machine problems. Did you just wear it out? Do you have another you can use in the meantime. i just cannot imagine you without an embroidery machine.

I did on my Babylock Elegante2 - I had to take it in and get get unjammed.

Oh no! I hope you can figure out what happened. I bet it scared you to death! Good Luck and let us know what happened.
