Susa Glenn has some beautiful Asian designs that look like hand-done silk embroidery. I would love to be able to try them but they are too big for my 4x4 only machine.
The link is for one of them - called egrets, but maybe they look enough like cranes... Look around - she has more than just this one.

Hi, I digitized a Great White Egret and an Ahinga the snakebird to go with a crane design I had purchased from Embroidery Supply. That crane was by Dakota, I think, and had 2 cranes and fit in a 4by4 hoop. It was really nice and was just $3.50. You are welcome to use my 2 designs if you would like them. Just PM me with your email and I'll send those two. I also had found a Roseatte Spoonbill and put all four on some dish towels for my son and DIL after a visit to Florida. For the cranes I have the website posted below.
