I asked Lee if she would design one for me for our children's Sunday school. I think she did an AWESOME job. So I'm sharing it with you here. I used bali fabric which is watercolored not batik.

Beautiful job! Is the cross plastic? If so how do you keep the needle from cutting the plastic. I've tried several things but after it's beat & banged around a bit the fabric seperates from the plastic. thanks/Lillian

Lilian, Thank you. Yes the Cross is plastic. I used a heavier type of plastic and made my stitches longer. This was a mock up and I didn't have any plastic when I made it so I went back and stitched the plastic on my regular sewing machine. I'm going to look for a thinner plastic this weekend. :)
