Anyone gone from the 4D software to 5D? If so, are you glad you upgraded? Is 5D that different/better? I was thinking since they are having this 50% off sale I would consider the upgrade.

Thanks for asking this--I was wondering the same thing this morning. Why won't any sites selling the upgrade quote a price? I'll wait for some answers :)

I don't know but I'd call your local Viking store, if you have one.
Just a couple more days and their sale will be over so thought I'd try to get some info.

Hummm, I thought they would all come in one package deal. Didn't know you had to still buy separate packages. I have the cross stitch with 4D and last year purchased the monogram. I guess I just assumed 5D had everything in one. Thanks for the info.

I have the 4D software, I havn't learned to use it very well yet. Do you know how much it would be after the 50% off sale? Which machine do you have? I have the Designer SE LE, got it in 2008.

I have the Designer SE and purchased it around the same time you did with the 3D and then upgraded to 4D. As far as price, I'm really not sure. I'm thinking WELL under $1,000??..
