Hi Monika, isn't it great that this site is back on line? I've missed all the wonderful gals on here. I was just saying to another person that I've been a member of this site since 2007! Of course it was off for a couple of years.
I'm praying that you get our of the 'slump' and find your mojo and get sewing again. It's great to get behind the sewing machine once you start a new project. I've just made a gorgeous little bag from Sweetpea. I'll post it i the Projects section. Love Chris

Hi Chris ,I've really been feeling the cold this year and spend a lot of time under my heated throw,im sure I'll get back into embroidery soon with all the encouragement of my friends

You are right, it's been particularly chilly up here in Newcastle too. I imagine down in Forbes it's even colder than here. Stunning days with sunshine, but in the mornings gee it's cold. Love Chris

I read you and Chris talking about the cold weather. It’s hard to imagine somewhere not being hot right now as we had temperatures up to 94 degrees Fahrenheit today. I don’t get out much when it’s so hot but then I can’t take too cold in the winter either.
Monika you asked what we’ve been up to. I have been quilting mostly but for our family reunion around July 4th I made gifts for all the women who attended. When I told them I wasn’t able to embroider any of the gifts bc my computer was done my husband’s uncle heard me. A day or so later he brought me a monitor screen, keyboard and modem. He said when he retired his trucking business he just left everything in the office and locked the door. He told me if this one gives me any trouble he has two more, he will just bring another.
I sewed totes, casserole carriers, remote control caddies with set of 4 coasters, aprons, runners, etc my usual stuff. I don’t take trips with my niece anymore since I fall so much. I sure don’t want to be out of state and break a bone so that ends my traveling with the group.
I read a lot when I was on the mends. I found a couple authors I liked, Charles Martin and Kristin Hannah. Hannah’s two I really liked were The Women and The Great Alone but they kept me stressed out- lol Martins books I liked were a series of 4 about Murphy Sheppard who rescues children from traffickers. I really enjoyed those books.
