now my questions to you pillow makers......the dimensions of the pillow cover is 18 1/2 x 18 inches so I noticed on the internet that the forms come in 16x16 and 18x18..do you think I can get a 16x16? I'm sure the 18x18 will be like stuffing 10 lbs of you know what into a 5 lb bag........what do you think????? I hate to buy a custom cut foam as that will be a beach to get into the case..........

Thanks Shirlene & Sarah......that's what I will pick up then is the 18x18. I hate to get the wrong size and have to go thru returning stuff...ugh! I can't wait to give it to her.......have a couple weeks to wait, but when I get an idea I get excited & go for it. Didn't mean to make it so big, but when I got the idea for the embroidery work, I want her to be able to see it........the bigger the better, right??????

Depends on how firm you want your pillow to be. The forms are squashy so stuff away.

Vicki... I want to know two things 1. Who is this kitty in your new photo? and 2. When do we get to see the picture of your pillow cover?
I think you may need a 17 inch pillow....... Bet the 18 would fit. I don't think it will be solid foam, will it?
hugs, jan

I'll start with the 18 inch and go from there. You know, Carolyn got me thinking, I could take an old pillowcase and make my own...I have alot of stuffing stuff....we'll see tomorrow if I feel like doing my own or not....The new kitty pic is Rebel. She is one of 4 sisters we rescued. Their mother was feral and we feed her while she was pregnant with the kittens, when she had them she didn't bring them to us until they were almost 4 months old and of course they ran from us whenever we went outside. We tried trapping Momma when she was PG, but failed, so when she started bringing her babies we got some drowsy pills from the vet to add to their food so we could at least catch the babies......well, they were all staggering around the driveway and when we went outside they all but one woke up and scattered. We searched everywhere!!!!!! So we got one that day and got her spayed and introduced Grayce into our home...We finally captured the other 4 at the same time in a safety trap when they were 7 months old and took them to have them spayed and 3 of the 4 were already pregnant....we kept them in our garage after their surgery for a week and released them (we had enough in the house at that time, so had to release them outside, but have kitty houses and feeding stations outside). 3 stuck around and one took off for good. 8 years later we were able to bring Satie and Rebel in the house and a year after that Tux, so we now have the 4 sisters in the house and they hate each other. Their mother taught them to be independent and solitary.....these ferals are very different than domestic kitties. It took 2 years for 2 of the girls to come up stairs out of a room in the basement. One has staked out my craft room and basically lives there 99% of the time, I have food, water and litterbox in there for her......they are interesting little creatures.....Bet you didn't expect a novel for one little question, huh, Jan? By the way, I will put the pillow on projects as soon as I get the form and put it in...Hugs..Vicki

I LOVE cat stories, Vicki. We have always had pound kitties until the three we have now. My grandma and granddad used to have feral cats on the farm and we always tried to tame them. Every once in a while there would be one that would cross the line and let us. That is quite a story of the 4 sisters! You must love cats as much as I do! I think they are just intriguing with their unique personalities. Thanks for sharing your story. I enjoyed every word. Satie, Rebel, Tux and Grayce?
