cousin was there & she had her little girl Lexi with her she is 11 months old, & of course she had her diaper bag with her that I had made for her. She told me that she had 3 other bags @ home & she never uses any of them because she just loves mine! It is roomy & there are zippered pockets & clips & an elastic side panel for bottles & it is just perfect! Well she said it washes up fantastic & the handle was just the perfect size! I have to admit that was just about the best compliment I have had! Her 2 sisters & her new sister-in-law all asked me for one! It was really hard to make & I have never made any more. & I don't particularly want to but it was still a pretty great compliment! Sorry for being sew long!

How wonderful!! And to know someone uses something that you put so much hard work into. It is a great compliment for others to want one. Sounds like the perfect bag. Just think that by the time you have done two more you will have that much more practice. The next two won't seem to take so long. :-)

Don't you hate that? I have a purse I made and I just love it - but it was such a turkey to make that I don't ever want to make another one. Maybe now that you've made one - the others will be easier?? I've also found that when I'm working on a particular project that I don't enjoy - if I do them on an assembly line, it makes it better (ie cut out all 3, then do the next step on all 3, until all 3 are done at the same time). Then I can hate it all at once - but when the project is complete - I'm done.

Its great that she loves it so much and I'm sure you will be beaming for days. Maybe if you write some of her words down and post them above your machine it will help you get through the others too. Call it a labor of love :)

I appreiate you sharing your story. I generally make gifts for weddings and showers as well. I really dislike making the same thing twice. Especially if it was a pain to make. Just remember in this world you can "Just say no" if you don't feel like making another. Make them their own special gift. Good luck with that. Sounds like a great diaper bag. ~Carolyn~

Thank you for agreeing with me. I was feeling like a stick in the mud after reading the other posts. However, many of us are givers here and sometimes you have a hard time saying no. But we need to think of our happiness too. Thanks again
