You can copy the designs to a CD or you can put them on a USB memory stick. I used the stick till I could have my son burn them to a CD for me. My computer CD burner doesn't work anymore but I got a laptop and it might.

Don't worry about me I back up on an external hard drive and on CD. I just I have always dreamt about all kinds of things that happen during the day... I can even continue the dream if I think about the subject when going to sleep.

I use DVD's and back up every couple of weeks and then destroy the earlier DVD. I find that works for me as I have tried to copy to stick but does not seem to work for me some designs would not copy to stick. I have heard of external drives dying as well so me I stick to tried and true DVD. Hugs Sally

Why not use rewritable DVDs,so after awhile you can reformat the old ones & use them again for a new lot of designs.Dvds don't hold a lot so you may need 2 or 3 depending on what needs to be backed up. I date mine so I know how old the backup is

I use an external drive and then every so often use a DVD (not-rewritable as I have had issues with rewritable disks in the past) that I keep at another location. Way too much time and money spent on designs not to protect them.
