should be able to let your imaginations go with these....On all of them the first 3 color changes are the hanging loop, so that of course can be left off to stitch these onto fabric. Then because they are applique and not fsl, you can choose to change the color of the lacey background or leave that off entirely and use fabric instead or choose to not use anything and just use the tackdown and satin outline of the design. Next comes the designs inside the ornaments and on most the text and little doo dads are separate, so you can choose to leave the doo dads off if you like. Also note that the lacey part does outline the design so if you want to leave off the applique part you might can do that as well. Test that first though, because the lace may not cover all the edges depending on what pattern it is. What I would do in that case, if you did not want it to have the satin stitch around it, but want a defined edge around the state/country is to let the outline stitch run after you stitch the lace and that should outline the design and then you can skip the next 2 stitch outs which are the tack down and satin. Hope I am clear on that.....Anyway, I had suggested to peggyswain that she stitch the countries she had been to on a jacket or sweatshirt as a "travel duds" type thing, then she can even add to it as she continues to travel.......hope this helps give you some creative ideas for these......Vicki
