This is the 4'x4' thread cabinet that my hubby made me. I like that I can see all my threads and keep them away from sunlight and dust. It has 13 sheleves in it that hold 29 spools on each shelf :) He used dowel pins so that the threads would stay put :)

Wow! I love this one, but I don't have a wall that large to put my spools on, besides I could fill this up now... I know you will enjoy this for many years. Looks like we both married great husbands that help us when we need them.....

I have to admit: I'm jealous ;o)
My poor thread is next to my machines on a salver, no shelter from sunlight or dust. Think I have to hurry and use it...
Greetings, Bettina

This is such a nice cabinet. Your husband did a great job. But I see it's not full...you need to go thread shopping. LOL I'm very happy for you.

Absolutely fabulous! When my husband gets done with building a loft bed for our daughter, maybe I can get him to make me something like this. Congrats to your husband on a job well done!

I have a lot of my extra threads and serger cones etc, stored in plastic drawers. In bottom of the drawers are pegboard cut to fit and then dowel pins inserted where I need them. That method is also great for keeping thread organized :)
