When making a rag quilt I usually put warn and natural in between the flannel squares. I make one with just flanel and it seemed a little flat. What does everyone else do???

I have made these before & I have never put anything in the middle. I have used three layers of flanelette only.

A quilt looks more like a quilt with a thin batting, so I'll use a thin batting.

I have made with three layers of flanneland found it very heavy. I would stick to the thin batting.
