ROSES & HANGING BASKETS
A teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse on and no bra.
Her grandmother just pitched a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that!
The teenager tells her 'loosen up Grams.
These are modern times, you gotta let your rose buds show!' And out she goes.
The next day the teenager comes down stairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on.
The teenager wants to die. She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate....
The grandmother says, 'loosen up, sweetie, if you can show off your rose buds, then I can display my hanging baskets.

I'm in the throes of creating a bodice sample from which to make a bodice basic pattern. I'll swear the body bits, that can't be found now to fill out the enormous tent that formed when I stitched two darts in place, were there when the teacher first tossed the tape measure around me. Next week I'll tell her I need to adjust the hanging baskets before I try the bodice on again.

That is hysterical and so true. At least we can laugh about it together. I must add to this that my grandfather had one of his farmworkers come and ask him for some titgarters for his teenage daughter.

LOL! I can relate though....
I went to my husbands aunts (from my first marriage) with him one day. She was working in the back yard in her flower garden topless. She proceeded to sit down and chat with us like nothing was wrong. I was maybe 19 and soooo embarrassed!
