I just downloaded Adobe Reader X version 10.0.1, I use windows 7 but I think it must be working in Windows XP as well. Good luck

Go to www.filehippo.com They have free stuff and I've been downloading from them for YEARS. Never a problem. They have the latest of everything and a nice alternative to Adobe.
