Hello carolyn i have been trying to remember where it originated from memory It was fromthe movie "Highlander" where the two main characters were on a snowcaped mountain in UK somewhere and a bird landed on the shoulder my nickname was then Highland Snowbird ---too long so now it is Snowbird or "Frangipani Fairy" tnanks for the intrest

Welcome Snowbird! It is always nice to have a new member! We have alot of fun here and gain alot of knowledge! I think this is the best group there is and have enjoyed CUTE for some time! Veronika has 4 other groups that I know of and all have alot of very nice designs! She offers daily free designs but do not forget to check out all of the other designs! Most all of the members are very nice and friendly but like all groups, we have a few shy members that are very quiet. I was in that catagory for a long time and now I wonder why/how I stayed quiet for so long! Join in and have fun! Linda in the Atlanta area
