My machine is a Husqvarna Viking Designer A lot of the designs are not in HUS format. How do I import let's say a PES file to my program?

Thanks, Chris

your designer will read pes exactly as it is, all you need to do is load it like any other design you use, either on your floppy, card or stick. you are also good on vip, vp3 and several others without converting. have fun and welcome to cute!

The Designer1 does not read pes. You have to convert it to hus, vip or vp3.

I have both the Designer1 and the Ruby. If you have the Designer1 (or the quilt Designer) you have to convert pes to one of the viking formats: hus, vip or vp3. Only the newer models like the SE, the Ruby or the Diamond can read other formats as well. Do you have any Viking software? That lets you convert before loading it to an E-card or floppy. You just load it in the software, use 'save as' and choose hus or vip and then load it onto your card or diskette. Those use the shv-format but that's automatically done in the reader/writer programme.

Please post which model your Designer is. My Designer SE reads all formats except for ART. I have the 4D software. However, there could be newer formats out there that I'm not familiar with that it won't read. If you have the software, you can go to "Organizer", click on "file" on the top left of the screen, go down to where it says "Convert Embroidery". A screen will pop-up and it will give you options as to which format you want to save it to and where you want to save it. Hope this helps.
