The flower stems are ribbon sewn on with a wavy stitch and the tall "grass" is from a design on my sewing machine. The single flowers and butterflies are Brother designs.

Thanks -- the flowers go around the back, too. I like this because I can wear any color tank top with it..

I couldn't find the flowers on the Brothers website, did you get them from a card? BTW, their website has been redesigned and the freebie designs are much easier to find and download.

The flowers are actually NOT from the brother SITE but from a card. My first machine was a White (made by brother) and all the cards fit the Brother.

Any similar flower would work. I sewed the "stems" on first, then did the "grass" and embroidered the flowers last making sure I got them over the top of the stem.

There are actually only two different flowers.. and I just changed the colors.

Have fun!

I have the Buzzn Blooms set from Embroidery Library that would work just as well.

A clever use of machine stitches and embroidery combined - great result - would be a great idea for a little girls dress as well. Thanks for showing.
