I am a Melanoma stage 2 survivor. To many fun days at the beaches in San Diego. I have a big chunk on my left shin that was cut out. My daily reminder to wear my sun sceen. So, I stay "lily white".Thank you for your beautiful design. I would love to give one to all that lay out or go to tanning beds! Carol

I know what you mean 2 weeks ago the dr. took 6 off my face. I looked like I had leprosy on my face for Easter Sunday also I have never been a sunbather. I have always been an outdoor lover though and there was no such thing as sunscreen when i was growing up. I was always suppose to have my straw sunhat on but as soon as I was out of sight from home off it came. Being fair complected has it's pitfalls & I remember some terrible sunburns from all day picnics when I was a kid. Now we pay the consequences. My children always wore sunscreen & their children & now my Great grandchildren because we all are beach lovers & have seen the scars skin cancer leaves/Lillian

I'm always careful for myself and much more for my kids. Some people ask in summer because they look paler than most of the other kids (I'm always upset when people talk about the nice and "healthy" tan of ore or less red-brown kids in opposite to my kids).
My children are both blond with blue eyes and a very bright skin. If they have my predisposition they will get many liverspots and these are always more vulnerable for cancer. I had cut one spot because it was very dark but it was no cancer (instead of the spot I have now a big scar cause of my predisposition for building often thick ugly violet scars when my skin gets injured).
My mother and my sister are both unteachable sunbather although my mother had also removed some little melanoms (and to say the truth their skin is looking a little bit now like leather now after all the years of "roasting").

Thank you, Vicki. My sister passed away from malignant melanoma at age 33. We always started each summer with a "good sunburn" that we peeled a week later. We used to put her in the sun to watch her freckles pop out. I miss her so very much, it's been lonely without her.
