daughter>>, has no appreciation, or for that
matter knowledge of my extensive fabric collection, which by the way is deposited
in various places throughout my house for safekeeping. Knowing also that <<insert
name of successor>>, has also notified the goodwill store should I precede him or her to
that great quilt shop in the sky, to pick up and dispose of the aforementioned collection.
Therefore I do WILL this collection and all other collections related to it, to my dear fellow fabric preservationist <<insert name of trusted craftaholic friend>>. It is my wish that she, upon hearing of my death
and obtaining clear proof, that I did not manage - (although goodness knows I tried) to take it with me, will come to my home, before
the goodwill store searches out my collection. That she should rescue the said
collection and stack it in my quilting studio, along with my sewing/embroidery machines, frames, old buttons, lace,
patterns, quilts, dolls and works in progress. And after she has done that, she should purchase refreshments for all

my friends, not yet departed,

which friends are also her

friends. Every last one shall

be in that room and they shall

hold a wake and say lots of

lovely and kind things about

me, until they run out, and

then they shall divide amongst

themselves my wonderful

collection. Be forewarned! I

shall be hovering over that

very spot until this is done.

They shall then leave this

spot and close the door,

leaving the car, house,

stocks, bonds and other

worldly nonsense to those who

don't understand or know any

better. ..... This is my wish

This is SO funny! I am going to take a copy to my favorite quilt shop owners. The one is a frustrated comedian and she will put this to use. I hope that I understand the last line as meaning that the creater of this wiill is Eleanor Peace Bailey because I want to put the credit line at the bottom for them.

I love it Ruthie. I have a girlfriend who actually said she put all her sewing/quilting/etc stuff in her will too. I should think of one soon myself. *4U

This is a hoot. I love it. I left all personal property to only daughter. As my granddaughters get older and develop my love to create unique items by sewing, maybe I will designate my machines.

My oh my oh my, how I need to do this, my daughter took alot of my things out of my apartment, not too long ago and put in her storage - so that I could pass a housing inpection. I have lots of things in my own storage unit and my son has the key to that and I think he is planning on donated it all to good will. So if I hurry, maybe I can recue some of it. HaHa! This is so funny. Thank you, Ruthie! My younger daughter wants my sewing machines, all my threads, stabilisers and so on. The quilting stuff is intended to go to a neighbour, a friend gets the bobbins, yarns etc for lace making, knitting yarns, needles etc go to my elder daughter. But the rest.. O dear. I'll have to think this over.

Thank you for making me laugh! Neither of my girls sew, but I am teaching one grandson (Who is very artistic) and granddaughter in hopes someone gets bitten. ;)

ruthie, I don't really have much of a stash - but I did pass this one around to alot of friends that do. Hehehe! I do have lots of embroidery items and I am trying to figure out how to word it to apply more that way. Hehehe! *4U

this is really funny! Can identify with it too. Till I came on this site I though I was a bit eccentric keeping all sorts of bits n pieces which will come in useful one day (after all something is only useful once it's been thrown away) I used to do a lot of machine knitting and still have yarns in storage after more than 15 years! Have copied this will to pass around. * 4u

Very cute, but I fully intend to take it all with me. =] I don't yet know if any of my kids (boys) would appreciate any of it. But I have lots of time (knock on wood) before I have to be thinking about wills and such.
