Has any of you embroider on synthetic suede? Will the hoop burn the fabric? I am doing a pillow for my son's teacher as she is retiring but I just wonder whether I should hoop the fabric or not?

I never have, but I would assume the hoop would leave marks behind. Probably use spray adhesive to put suede on top of previously hooped stabilizer. Do a test run on very edge if no one else answers. *4U

Yes, suede (synthetic or not) will tend to get hoop burn. I would recommend using sticky stabilizer or other adhesive technique to hoop your fabric.
