I used leftover material which I cut into strips to make this blanket and only bought material for the binding strips and backing. The pattern/idea I found on the internet.

Babsie this is so beautiful. If the highway from Johannesburg to Pretoria was not the road from hell I would have come through for a lesson. Dit is pragtig.

This is lovely and the design is called God'e eye.
It is a good way to use up scaps especially if you are doing charity quits. Also there are a number of possibilities if you use this pattern and arrange the sides light & dark etc.
Hugs

Nice job! I like the idea of using leftover material. People that lost their homes from the tornadoes could sure use some quilts. I need to give this a try.

It was really easy and I'm not a quilter, so give it a try. Hugs
