and I said sure. She has not made too many, and they have been traditional type quilts. She trusted my vision -even if all the stripes were not the same size-and came up with a pleasing pattern. Each stripe has a decorative embroidery stitch down the seam. Really makes a nice look.

This first one was for the Mom of the person. Was done and given for Mother's Day. The Dad-who was the person who asked for the quilts-called my friend the day after, and told her this. He had come home from an errand, and found his wife sitting, wrapped in the quilt. She said to him it was just like being hugged by her son. Now, can you get any greater pleasure in creating something than that? It makes me smile every time I think of it.
