Hi guys, it's 5.00pm Sunday evening. I finished this off yesterday. I don't do any sewing on Sunday - my rest day. I bought Mum back here after church as she wanted some black buttons. I didn't have enough, anyway I wanted her to see the quilt so far for Dad. Well, she just took one look and spontaneously hugged me and said gosh the picture of Dad looks just like a picture. I told her Meganne did it for me on Canvas and she just couldn't stop touching it. THANKS MEG FOR AN AWESOME JOB!!!! I told her I will try and get some red fabric for a border and maybe a blue one too to match in. I think it will be hard to match the exact colour as the blue fabric was pyjama fabric and Dad wore them a lot! Anyway once I've done the borders I'll get it quilted. I was given permission by The Adelaide Football Club to use their logo (Adelaide Crows) again huge thanks to Meganne who digitised this for me. The lady there in charge of their merchandise asked me to send her a picture when finished. The other designs are from all over the place. They are things that Dad loved - eg. Cooper's Ale was his favourite beer. He loved gardening and especially red roses. He was a professional Diver, he loved billiards, and of course played Golf every week. I will try and get some fabric this week and finish it off. Thanks for looking love and blessings Chris P.S. Mum just stood there and said "Gee, Dad would have loved this and won't his brother love it." Uncle Brian (Dad's brother) is coming up here from Adelaide in June.
P.S. Thanks for your compliment.
