I don't know. The chalk I use steams out pretty easily and if that doesn't work a simple wash will do it.

I had this problem last week and after washing the quilt in the washing machine I stood with a bar of soap and scrubbed each chalk line, it took a while but I seem to have got them all out. G

if its one of those sewline chalk pens ouch!! but I have been told the eraser that comes with it will still get it out let me know how you go I have one here if you dont Hugs Shazells

I hate it when this has happened to me.
So now I use masking tape (from hardware store)to mark my fabric.It is removed when the cross hair mark is centered under the needle,just before stitching.
It works great! No more laundering for me LOL...

All chalk is not created equal! I have had two experiences with chalk, one I thought I had it all out(blue chalk, expensive, can't remember the brand, I pitched It) when i washed it the lines came back brown. I rewashed the Item with Rit dye remover painted on the marks. This was a desperation move, don't know that i would do it again. The other was with a cheap white chalk on dark slubby fabric, I had enough fabric to restitch the design. I try not to use chalk much. I do like Chaco liner brand but only in the White, blue doesn't like to come out and yellow stained. There is a product called Grandma's Stain Remover that is in most fabric stores in the states. It sometimes works.

Would you please share which one you used? I have used the BOHIN version. I have the white and the green - and the green has been a problem for me to get out (I put a little dawn dish soap on it before I wash it and that seems to help but I have one where it will not come out at all).

Lor. i use something called spray 9 i buy it at CANADIAN tire ,it gets out well i haven't had it not work even on grease???A big jug is on sale for$7.49 i use it to take the black marks off my camper LOL catrolyn

I feel your pain. I had a suppose to be water out dot not ocme out on a towel and I've been so careful every since *2U
