I know what the people there are going through. We had bad tornadoes here in Alabama a few weeks ago. Already so many deaths and probably the total count will go up. They need our prayers. So very sad!

I live about 50 miles south of Joplin and it is a stop for us on the trip back to our home state. We had tornados popping up and I think it was around 2AM when we finally got to sleep. We use our shower for shelter and I was ready to just stay there all night. It's still storming and raining and we are soaked. The dam gates are open and the lake is really high. There was already areas that were under water from the last big storm, flash flood and flood warnings all around. So far we are safe so pray for those in Joplin, so far 89 deaths, and maybe a small request for the rain to stop.

Prayers for you and everyone there, we had storms here with tornadoes last month and the devastation is unreal. Thank God we were not affected by the storm. Glad your family is okay.

I agree. We have so few that we know where they live. I hope people check in to give reports. It seems that there is more flooding and tornadoes this year. And hurricane doesn't start for another week.

Thank you for commenting Gerry; didn't know about it as we were out of town without access to TV or newspapers.
My prayers are with all in that area and those who have friends or family who are affected. This mornings news showed the hospital that was destroyed with lots of eyewitness accounts from medical staff.
May God be with those from Joplin.
Hugs,
Jacqueline

Gerry, This all makes my heart hurts seeing on the news all the devastation that the people have and are going thru. It looks like a bomb went off there. I hope any "Cuties" in the area are able to check in soon. They are all in my prayers. H&*
