serious talk on the phone. I would have been busted with trying to get through without laughing. Daughter didn't know if the tomato juice was truly needed or not. SIL had earlier called and asked me for help..."Have caught a kitty in the trap, could I help him". Not after GD was heard in the back yelling that it was a baby skunk. I will pass. At least that was something cute for my day!

I had a skunk as a pet when I was in high school. friend found the nest after the momma had been killed, so he brought them home. We thought they were soooo cute. (they were!) But when they tried to spray, I'd just pull his little tail down & sit him on it! My Dad took them up in the mountains to some man that said he'd "de-skunk" them. Told Dad that little skunk had enough scent in his gland to really spray us good!! Good thing he was a baby & I didn't like his tail in the air! My friend & I had those skunks for several yrs! They ate cat food!

LOL...stay clear of skunks, not only will they spray but they are notorious for carrying rabies. Saw on tv there is a big out break this year of rabies...so be careful around all wildlife and get your pets to the vet for their shots. Better safe than sorry.

That's cute! I once had 2 dogs show up on my porch and laid around for a bit, managed to get a number off one's collar and called the person, told them the dogs had been skunked, she said that was why they ran off. She sent her hubby in his NEW car to pick them up, lol, hate to think how the poor man felt riding home with the dogs!

No matter how hard I am trying, I can't keep a smile off my face. I think you were wise to stay away.

I am ROFL. I can certainly relate to this. We have been trying to catch a skunk around our house and garden for a week or so now. He stuck his nose to the electric fence around the garden and would spray! Whew, that smell travels. Anyway, hubby trapped him and then I didn't ask any questions. Guess the skunk is gone, gone, gone.
