Hello,

I do no have serger to make a narrow rolled hem for hankies. Can you suggest which sewing machine stitch to use to make narrow rolled hem. Thank you. God bless. Bernadette de Souza.

The only thing you can do is turn and stitch close to the edge,,,trim excess and turn and stitch again. I don't think there is a stitch on a regular machine that will do a rolled hem.

Bernadette, Sew Doctor is right. There is no rolled hem stitch on a regular sewing machine but there is a rolled hem foot.It works really well. I used this to make the rolled hem and then sewed it down on the edge of some narrow lace. It came out really nice for a wedding. Kathy

You can use a narrow satin stitch that is close together. Works Ok. Suzanne

you can "whip stitch" it which is a narrow zig zag on the edge do a trial first

THERE IS A NICE ROLLED HEM ATTACHMENT YOU CAN BUY FOR WHATEVER KIND OF MACHINE YOU HAVE .I HAVE AN AJUSTABLE ONE THAT GOES FROM 0TO 1 INCH OR SO . I LOVE IT AS IT HAS MANY USES AND IT WAS LIKE $15. DOLLARS CAROLYN
