My recent projects have been outside lately...in the garden! Finally...getting the yard the way I want it! Here is a project that I did years ago, working from an old workbench that was in the spring trash, as the base. Then I added the two old 4-pane windows...pieces of my prized vintage picket fence (picked up about 30 feet of this out of someones trash about 12 yrs ago)...the top piece is an old footboard from a bed, I turned upside down and rounded the corners...and added the piece of carved molding trim. The rest...painted and a skirt out of an old tablecloth to hide my pots below. I love this potting bench...but...don't use it to pot! I don't like to get it dirty... :( ha ha... I have had this now for about 12+ years...I pile up all my garden stuff on it for the winter, cover it with a tarp...then wait for spring!

It is sooo very cute! I would hate to use it too. Couldn't sell that one for a million bucks. Lots of work and great job. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. I don't get my hands dirty either. Next month it will be 8 years since my husband passed away. He took care of the yard and I did the inside. My son helps in the yard now. I just mostly play on computer and do a little embroidery.

I love it!! You should submit this to BHG. I bet one of those magazines would love to do a story. I'm wondering what's sitting next to it on the right hand side. I see a white picket peeking.
Great project and if you ever get tired of it, send it to me. LOL
Thanks for sharing with us!

good eye there, lady! :)
To the right is another stand that I put together from a piece of trash. It holds more "stuff"...pots...etc....you know, a gardener can NEVER have too much storage!
