I'm glad you asked. I have yards of corduroy and want to use it for things like placemats, coasters, casserole carriers and whatever I can think of.

Yes, would be good for lots of things. I had a jacket [western style] in mind. Probably use the paisley that I got from Emblibrary last week on special.
Oooo, I think those paisley designs would be great on the corduroy.

I think tear a way stabilizer would work well with the corduroy. Maybe 02kar or noah can confirm this.

Yes, it's not difficult. Use a water soluble stabilizer on top to make the design smooth and DO NOT hoop it. Corduroy is easily "burned" with the hoop and it's darn near impossible to get the marks out afterward. Just pin or tack down the fabric to a mid weight cut-away. ;)

Timely question! did you get a happy solution to your machine problem from last year? I kept thinking you're way too far from a good mechanic to have such little help for your machine.
Your jacket idea sounds gorgeous - modern and very elegant with paisley designs. Don't forget the topping film so that the design doesn't disappear into the pile.
Good luck.
