My neighbors have been hard hit by the economy. In fact, so much so that they are moving out of their house and in to a camp trailer. They sold pretty much everything they owned this past weekend in a yard sale. I made a little 8" square wall hanging for a farewell gift to hang in their new abode. They plan to make the best of this time off by visiting the national parks of the USA, and picking up odd jobs along the way for fuel and other expenses. They are young, so this is an adventure. They have managed to turn something stressful in to something fun. I applaud their approach.

this is such a thoughtful gift and praise goes to this young couple as this may be the only time in their lives that they get to do this......you have helped to soften the blow of leaving by giving them a part of you to take with them....

Good for them - and nice of you to make this for them. I had a girl that worked with me that quit her job, they sold their house, and she and her husband go from camp sites all over doing the work as you go things. They finally got into a routine where they spend several months in an area sand then move on to another one, knowing that they have some income coming in when they get there. I don't know if I could do that - they don't make a camper large enough for my machines and sewing "goodies". LOL
