Freezing cold in the UK too brrrrrrrr. son coming from Australia tomorrow. Hope it improves. Forecast saturday evening 5 degrees nearly a frost and it is supposed to be summer lol.

so sorry it is freezing - we had snow last week - now all this heat.

Alice i just got off the phone from 2 daughters in Brissy and they said it was soooooo cold, Told them to move back to Sydney where it is quite pleasant "at the moment" Hope it warms up by the time i come up in July/Aug :)

You poor thing Alice, Just be thankful that you don't live in the Adelaide hills or even up north of Adelaide.

I live in Sydney. Up until about ten days ago, there was an even mix of people wearing summer clothing and those wearing winter clothing. This week, I see more winter clothing appearing though. Funny thing is - my daughter and I were out yesterday and it was chilly. She wore layers of clothing, including a coat and scarf as well as Ugg boots. I wore one layer (a long sleeved shirt) and a light jumper, yet we saw people dressed in shorts and a singlet with thongs!! It is amazing how different people can endure different variations of temperature. As for me - I do not like the extreme heat and humidity. I prefer winter, which tends to be very mild here in Sydney.

Hi Alice, as you know we are also having the most unusal weather. The whole of SA is very cold with some terrible flooding in some parts. We are now drying out a bit here at home. Just keep warm. Sarah.

Winter has certainly arrived in Taranaki, New Zealand too. It has been very wet and freezing cold today. I am so over winter already and it's just starting... I shouldn't complain, we have a fire going and the house is lovely and warm.

Today was a cold day! I went to school and everyone was talking about the weather :) Keep warm :)
