You can buy credit cards that you put a certain amount of money on up front--that way if anyone gets that credit card # they will not get much. A way to know a safe site to order from--watch your browser bar when you go to check out--if it changes from http: to https: it is a dependable site--some also have a padlock at the top of the page. I only order from sites such as: Any of Veronika sites, Embroidery Library, OPW, Bunnycup and others I know are safe. Family feel free to name any others that you know to be safe sites--or anything that you think would be helpful. Hugs to all.

Good advise and reminders what to look for. There a plenty more safe sites and we usually know the ones we constantly deal with.

I'm wary of the many sites from overseas. I also use paypal as a precaution. There are always people out there happy to rid you of your money. If you have never heard of the site do some research. Or deal with someone you know and are comfortable with.

Many have the possibilty to change the language and some also the currency.
One big store I missed is "secrets of". Love their customer points-system...
Also one of my all-time favorites is OregonPatchwork. And don't forgett my gothic friends from UrbanThreads!
