Why do most zodiac embroidery designs have Cancer as a lobster instead of a crab? I would love to purchase these designs, but since I am a Cancer myself, it turns me off to the set and designer!

Welcome to the Cute Family, cordura5. Have you tried Designs by Sick. com They have a couple packs Go to search and click on zodiac. ( I am a Cancer also ). Hope this helps . A flower for you.

I have a lifetime membership to Designs by SiCK, but even a couple of their zodiac sets are wrong. CutiePie was working on getting one of them corrected. The designer made a new drawing and sent it to the digitizer. It hasn't changed yet though, so I guess they are still working on it.

I am a cancer also and I agree, it's mostly lobster. They may look better, but even so, crab is what we want.

It may be because "crayfish" and "crab" are two versions of the same root word. "Crayfish" was transformed by folk etymology from a French term which was borrowed from a Germanic root reconstructed as 'Krebiz'. This same Germanic root became "crab" in English. Now we must ask our French and German Cute members do their Zodiacs use a Crab or a Crayfish (Lobster) for this particular sign??? OR is there a translation problem possibly with the people doing the clip art for these designs who may not speak English and are confusing these two terms?
