The only thing I apologized for was the combination of the word coarse with the word daily. Because know I know coarse means: rough(I looked in the dictionary) . But please don't be angry or disappointed in the one who corrected me. She realy did it nice and we are never to old to learn something.So I thank her for this and know now how to post it correctly!

Gerry it is most welcome when somebody can help us improve our skills in another language (or it should be; otherwise you stand still and there is no development anymore).
When I'm at Cute there is always a window open with the LEO-online dictionary to help me a little bit but there are some puns you cannot translate word to word or nobody will understand the meaning (I'm sure there are some nice one in dutch I never heard :o)

Don't worry Gerry; I'm certainly not upset. All of us spell things incorrectly sometimes or use the incorrect word, even if it's our native language.

Gerry, I am sure I see and do alot of these mistakes off and on. We all understand when we find something like this on Cute because we have so many from countries other than our own. I have translated several of the messages on the projects and could not make heads or tails of what was being said even though it would be translated in english. That is not a problem. I just admire all of the the ladies that still join in and even show their work even if I can not makes heads or tails of what they are saying. The best I can say is that the translator works well most of the time. I can slaughter the english at times and I was born, schooled and raised right here in the USA. 99.9% of the members that do not speak english as a native language do excellent getting the message across to everyone. There are too many words in the english language that are spelled differently, mean different things yet they sound the same. You do just great! You have taken on a job that most of us would never attempt and we appreciate all you do for each of us daily! We all look forward to your post and the daily blessing(saying)! Yes, it very nice to learn from our mistakes but if you are normal like most of us, we will make mistakes in the english language! Hugs and blessings, Linda

Don't worry I have read the words every day and my mind has seen course (in the meaning of course). I have read that we can read without any vowels in words or even jumbled up letters because our brain sees what it expects.
SO NO offence taken here - and I think English is not your first language? I am English and the void between UK and US English is a whole subject on it's own.

Gerry I understand what you meant before and now. LIFE is a learning experience, and we grow in knowledge every day. We are teachers and students at once. To be corrected in spelling is only a betterment. To attack the corrector is mean spirited. Has another Cutie been chased away because she tried to help?
I said it on your original post, and I will repeat. I would certainly not be offended if someone showed me the right way to do something. What if that word was in something I embroidered, and now that would be a waste of time and materials.
We do understand written things that are not quite right, but what I don't understand is how someone who helps is made to feel wrong.

I was not upset with her at all. I would not have pointed it out myself simply because I would have figured out what you where saying, and have family members who are horrific spellers, so A use of the wrong word is easy to figure out for me. I am glad she was helpful and polite, that makes a correct appreciated instead of resented. Good for you both and hugs to you both!!
Until you see or hear of an error you've made in using a word that sounds like another but has a different spelling you may not know. I still confuse words that sound the same, but are spelled differently and have differnt meanings all the time. And off course spell check doesn't catch it, not does grammar checks many times. And if you are translating form one language to another things are even more messed up sometimes becasue they don't translate very well. So again hugs to you both for caring and sharing!
