I was given a hoop called large and the book gives it as an optional accessorie. But when I looked on line I thought I saw 4x4 was the hoop to use, can this machine take the larger hoop?
I picked it up and also got ped basic ver1 I know nothing about this software is it upgradable and what is the version to go to? I have 4D, any help or knowledge would be great. I need to pick those cute minds LOL
I was so thrilled to pick this machine up only paid $150 for all was a quick sale and the women had no idea how to even run the machine. She stated has been in a closet just about as long as she has owned it.
Do you oil these machines? My viking is only suppose to be oiled when taken in for it's yearly checkup.
I am reading the manual but somethings they think you should know or learn by trail and error LOL
This machine is fantastic for me I have wanted a 2nd one and this is so light and portable.
Thanks in advance all you cutes *4evr1
This site has a lot of information on a lot of sewing related things. You have to create an account (it is free) to access the information.
You can embroider split designs to create one large one (which you can do in 4D), or you can use separate motifs to create something new, e.g. a design in the top part and some lettering in the lower, or just place small motifs where you want.
Did you get any embroidery cards to go with it? I have card #14, which has several flower bouquets, each consisting of 3 parts that can be combined to get in different ways or used separately.
I have PEd basic v1 as well and it still works for me. Save a design as PES in 4D and you can write it to your card.
Machines that have not been used for over a year should really be serviced before you have a go at them as the oil gets sticky. This machine is a nice workhorse, great to have as a second one.
I have thought about sending it in just to get a check up. I read somewere last night that we are not to oil them but to take them in for service to get it oiled.
