I bought a cheep version of the elna press, that was a mistake, It did not open up far enough to get the item in without burning my hands. I took it back to the store the next day. I do hope to get a heat press soon because I want to start doing some heat transfers and crystal stuff.

Enjoy. Had one for years when we didn't have home help. My son at age /10 used to iron his sister's school skirt while she made sandwiches for lunch. Mom was at work 5am!

I have a full size mangelor (spell not right hope you understand) LOL but have never used it no room for such a big thing so it sits in storage waiting for a day that I have my dream sewing room LOL

Im also an Elna fan, from sewing, overlocker, embroidery, press, steam iron, vacuum sealer, have even more than one of the above! Never had any problems, not even after sales service. Enjoy your Elna press.

They are also great for fusible interfacing!! What a time difference to get all the pieces done in one two beeps.
If you are pressing something with embroidery, turn the embroidery face down into a good thick hand towel or washcloth. This should keep your embroidery from flattening too much.

yes I hate ironing fusible with my iron seems like it is never enough always comes apart and back to the iron it goes.

Good for you! I saw a demo on TV and have been drooling since - saw one in a sewing dealers. Couple weeks ago saw one in Second Glance (a local second hand store), but didn't have any extra cash. Also, not sure it works. If it's still there I might check it out.
