well we usually have family & friends around for this busy holiday, & this is a thread catcher for one that comes the farthest. She is just learning to sew! I think I have converted another one!I still have to stuff the top but I have to add the weight to it 1st! What do you think?

I guess I should have added that the top part is a pin cushion too!this sits on your table & the bag part hangs down & you just throw in your loose threads every time you snip you dip!

Looks good and nice choice of fabric. What are you using for the weights in the pin cushion?

my dh actually picks me up steel weights, but you could use a pc of cardboard & 100 pennies taped to it! My friend does this! I have seen all kinds of stuff used,: pellets, rice, doll beads, I like one pc & he is always on the look out for me as I make them alot!

Love the material. I make scraps sacks and have sold so many of them. My daughter hangs one of hers over the end of you knitting bag so when she travels she can put her scraps in it. Great job. Hugs, Judy

I use the strapping that they use on large boxes. Usually get it free when I ask if they have any in the shipping dept of local Home Depot, Hardware store, etc

Some people use tiles - they buy them cheap when something is wrong with them.

you mean for the weighted bottom, right? I have a 2 lb weight in this one,(pic here doesn't have it but I have since finished it)I don't know a broken tile might be kind of sharp? Am I thinking the wrong thing with this?
Where your square piece is. Not broken ones. I havent made one someone had said thats what they have used
