Checked the site, great savings! I have Metro and love it! They have added a feature to the spool, which is great! Thread catch, for tucking the end piece into the spool. Jump in and pick the colors.
As for the larger spool, I bought the basic primary colors. Red, Purple, Green, Hot Pink, not sure how long life is for anyones thread, but they recommend not to have it forever.....

If you are wanting Cotton thread - Metro is polyester and not the cotton. I would not recommend it for quilting. I have purchased quiling thread from Coats & Clark but not certain who would sell it and ship to Canada. Good luck in your search. try a google search.

If you are looking for great quality Egyptian cotton quilting thread, I can highly recomment Connecting Threads..Link: http://www.connectingthreads.com/Quilting.cfm
They offer great color collections at a very good price. If you are looking for high sheen embroidery thread...I have all of the Metro colors and they are great! High sheen, low price, great service and shipping. I have both large cones and smaller spools...also I think they have a very good value on their stabilizers. I order from both frequently...I have never had a problem with either.

Cotton quilting thread, definitely Connecting Threads!! Their fabric is also fabulous, and really reasonably priced, especially if you can use the 'clearance' fabrics. Some are only $3/yd, and they are high high quality, soft as butter, long staple USA cotton. Hugs, Marji
