For those of you that are new to embroidery like me & are still struggling with stablisers, I just found a good tutorial - http://www.abc-embroidery-designs.com/Embroidery_Stabilizers/rules.html.

By coincidence, I just happened to read that last night and found it so helpful that I saved it in my computer. I, too, am new to machine embroidery, and stabilizers still seem to be a nemesis for me.

Boy and you'll use a lot of it to. The golden rule that I've been taught is use it and pitch it, some ladies in my class tried to take pieces together. What a mess. Also on threadart.com you can get an entire bolt of $30. That's a 100 yard bolt, really good deal. And also the type of stablizer you need, I know thanks to the ladies here I had to actually use 2 layers of stablizer on a large bird I was stitching. It was all screwed up until I added the second sheet of stablizer so having plenty on hand is a real plus. Have fun and have a flower.

Great I've tried every stabalizer known to man. Since I've never had a class It was trial & error. This I printed off & put in the notebook I keep. It's easier for me to have in hand than to keep in Computer

It seems to be easier to concentrate on when it is written out! +1*4U
