Congratulations. Don't do like I just did - baby was born, and I did not get anything stitched yet. Trying to work on it some today. But, this was a Great Great niece. Don't know if I am ready for a great grand just yet. LOL

Oh Wow!!! Big Congratulations are in order. Does sound like you are going to be busy, busy, busy...sewing, sewing, sewing.

That sounds like wonderful news to me. I have 3 great grands,3(in 15 days), 5 and 7. We kinda did this the hard way(or maybe easy way). My son married a wonderful lady that had 2 grown daughters and they had 3 children between them. My son did not get married until he was 41 and he got into it all of the way, at once!!! The baby was less than a month old when they got married so he has always known my son as he PaPa but the two older children have to be shared with Gail's 1st husband. The youngest daughter and her boys 3 and 5, have been living with my son and her Mom/Grandmom almost since she and my son got married. He loves children and he is just a big child himself so he is right in his element! I keep the two boys ALOT but the oldest GG is more than an hour away and in school. She is a beautiful child in everyway and very loving but I do not get to see her very often. Only once have I had all 3 of the children at once and they get along just great. The baby does not seem to know the difference between me and either of his 2 real great grannies who both passed away last yr. He is my little snuggle bug! Bad thing is, I see him already beginning to grow out of the baby stage and only wants to snuggle and hug and sit in my lap once in awhile now. He has such a great personality and is just too smart for his age and sooo independent. He actually acts older at times than his big brother! They are such a joy to spend time around! My DIL has kept these 3 since they were born until the oldest and her Mom moved away when Raeleigh started to school. My DIL has done a great job raising these children. They are smart, have great manners, and mind very well. The 5 yr old has a serious heart problem but has been doing very well since they found out. He tires easily and seems to be more prone to crying when he gets upset but he is very easy to handle as soon as he finds out you mean business. If he thinks he is going to have to go to his room and have a time-out for 15 or 30 minutes he straightens out in a hurry. The whinning is when he gets tired and does not get his way about everything. They have every kind of toy, game and electronic games known to man so they stay busy. They are a joy to have around!
I am sure you are excited especially if this is the 1st! Good luck to all of you! It will be a whole new adventure!

Congratulations! I', going to be great grandma middle of Sept. (a girl). And it is also my oldest daughter that is going to be a grandma - she is so awesome with babies - and they respond to her!
Anyway, congrats!

Congratulations. I still think being a grandma is the greatest, I will have to wait a while to be a great grandma.
