My son lives in San Jose, California. We will be there for 7 weeks - the only thing I dread is the double hop- 11 hours to London from Johannesburg, 4 hour wait, 10? hours to San Francisco. We leave Port Elizabeth 13 Sep, spend a day with my daughter before flying on.
San Jose is not far from Sewmom, Crafter and me! Maybe during the 7 weeks we can plan something :)
Wish San Jose was closer to San Diego as I'll be in San Diego in Sept. Hope you all get a chance to get together. Carol

Congratulations. Grandchildren are such blessings. I am about 2 hours drive away from San Jose and have relatives there as well that I visit often. I don't envy you having to do that long travel. Planes are so uncomfortable today.

Congratulations Elizabeth. Wow I didn't know you were going to get to spend 7 weeks. That will really be nice so you can help the new mom out. Hope you have made cute little things for the new little one. I may get to go to Redlands, CA in Sept to spend my son's 50th birthday on the 17th but that is way down south from San Jose. To bad we could have gotten together for lunch.
