Okay ya'll... here's #3.
I wasn't willing to sacrifice any more of the embroidered denim to another rag doll... LOL! So, I started cutting up the polar fleece shawls that I'd made for a craft fair back 2008 and didn't sell.
The more digitizing I do, the more I learn. I actually have one more face that I want to try out, but this one taught me a thing or two and I may have some adjustments to make to that one before I stitch it out. The Futura auto punch program leaves a lot to be desired, but its what I've got, so I'm dealing with it.
This one was made for another little girl... my son's best friend's daughter... she'll be 3 y.o. in November.

I said "Not So Blue" but it didn't escape my notice that she definitely looks blue... she's actually very very purple.

Thank you, Juanita... Oh I have a very big fascination with eyes. No big surprise that I started out with the intention of making the eyes the real focal point of the dolls. LOL!

Oh I'm definitely learning. I'm a retired graphic artist so sliding into the creation and digitizing processes of machine embroidery was a natural course of action for me. It didn't take me long to figure out that the doll patterns online just wasn't going to do and that I'd have to make my own doll pattern. But before that, I discovered that I really wasn't enthused with the rag doll faces that I had bought 3 years ago. Living and learning... that's what drives us to the creation process... right?
