the yard behind our next door neighbours has turned into a lake again like it was yesterday afternoon .I have more washing to do tomorrow ,so I suppose it will happen again. TOO TOO much rain

OH - I wouldn't be laughing about that - I am so sorry. Rain rain go away.... until the wash is dry and folded.

Its all dried now & the house is warmer ,due to the hot air coming out of the dryer

Would you please send a little of that rain to Texas and Oklahoma in the USA. We haven't had a good rain in a very long time. The grass is "crunchy" around here.

We would welcome some rain in West Texas also.We are under water restrictions so no one has a green yard unless they have a well.

We need the rain here too.We must be the only place on Australian east coast the still has water restrictions which started about 10yrs ago.Dam got down to 11.5% & now is 31.5% after 4 yrs .

I know how you feel, it has been raining here, practically non-stop for well over a week. I can't get any washing dry.
Hubby bought me a small dryer to use here because my stack washer/dryer is still at the other house.
About an hour ago I put on a small load of the cats' bedding, (only two old thin towels, a couple of cut down (probably 1mt square) lightweight blankets and one small knitted square), to dry on the hot setting.
I just went to get them and they still aren't dry, after an hour!??? I am so annoyed! Why doesn't anything work the way it should when you pay good money for it. No wonder its energy rating was only 1.5 stars, it's a piece of crap and I told DH he'll have to take it back to Harvey Norman. I know he is going to hate doing that but there's no way a dryer should take 2 hours to dry such a lightweight load.
So far every load I have put in it has come out damp after an hour on the hot setting and I've had to put everything through twice, so I'm getting nothing dry, it's costing a fortune for electricity and I have clothes and bedding lying around everywhere.
OH the JOY of non-stop, torrential rain!!!!
I don't know how people cope who live in places where they have a prolonged wet season every year!!!
I hope it stops soon.

It sounds like you are not getting enough electricity so the dryer works properly.On cold afternoons ,after 5pm here at times the toaster hasn't toasted the bread, or the microwave goes round but the food doesn't get hot or maybe the iron dribbles water.The only electrical appliances that were on, was the tv & 3 lights with the new light globe & one of the mentioned appliances.None have had to be replaced.
I think we are so use to only 1 or 2 days of rain at a time ,we can't handle it

A few days ago thought I had enough drying time before the rain and nope. Had to dash out and pull three loads of bedding and like you had to put it in the dryer. They were only slightly damp so dryer time was just a half hour for all. Bedding curls up in my dryer and when the sun and light wind are right can actually dry faster sometimes 15 to 20 minutes. Dryer up to 40-60 minutes going down to pull out the curled up mess and rearranging so all parts can dry. My day is more productive when I can get nature to dry.
