is Sulky BSN used for badges the same thing as Badgemaster. I am desperate to make a FSL snowflakes but my attempts with sulky solvy are failing despite using several layers and in my earlier question people are suggesting badgemaster or vilene, both of which are not easily found in the UK so I was wondering if BSN is the equivalent. thanks cuties ♥

I googled BSN and I don't think it is the same. Hopefully another cutie will be along with a for sure answers.
Otherwise is the "Pellon" brand sold in the UK? They make interfacing but they also have a Vilene stabilizer as part of their line (It is called wash and gone).
The "Solvy" type you are looking for is called "Fabric Solvy" (it is vilene-like).

I googled--embroidery stabilizers uk---and there are a lot of places for you to look through. I see Avalon stabilizer, the name I remember hearing. Could help you.

Here is another link in the UK that sells the Floriani line of water soluble stabilzer that is just like the Fibrous type (not plastic) of Vilene Water Soluble stabilizer.

you can buy badgemaster from Shoppers Rule. If you aare going to use Sulky /solvy you want what is named Sulky Farbic Solvy. This product is great but much more expensive than badgemaster. Badgemaster is bought by the yard and you'll find it under Backing by the yard sells for $2.83 1yd x 30". Here's the direct link

Could you get your hands on SOLU-Vlies from Freundenberg? Many german online Quiltshops carry it. perhaps you can find one in UK too.

The Fibrous type of water soluble that is used for Free standing lace is Vilene water soluble stabilizer ( Product #D0102) which is made by Freudenberger.
It is similar or just like OESD AquaMesh, Aqua Magic, Wet n Gone, Sulky Fabri Solvy, Wash Away, Floriani Wet N Gone etc.
Freudenberg also makes other interlinings and interfacings that also have the Vilene name so be careful.
The heavier Film type of water soluble that is great for FSLace is Badgemaster which has to be kept in an air tight container or bag as it dries out.
Try searching for any of these in the UK.
